Thai Government releases book to combat border misinformation

The Thai government has released a new book titled ‘TRUTH BEYOND BORDERS’ to combat misinformation regarding the Thai-Cambodian border situation. Government spokesperson Ratchada Thanadirek announced that the publication aims to provide systematic, verifiable facts to help the public and media understand the complexities of the border dispute.

Developed by the Joint Information Center (JIC), the book is available in both Thai and English. It builds upon a previous white paper and covers historical backgrounds, treaties, maps, border demarcation processes, international court rulings, and relevant legal frameworks. It also addresses contemporary developments, humanitarian impacts, and peaceful resolution mechanisms to ensure both Thai and international audiences have access to accurate information based on international law.
