Thai Government urges registration for Thai Chuay Thai Plus subsidy

The Thai government is urging eligible citizens to confirm their participation in the ‘Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40) (Additional)’ project by October 15, 2026. As of October 5, approximately 25.48 million people, or 83% of the eligible population, have registered through the ‘Pao Tang’ application. Additionally, 940,544 merchants have joined the program.

Lalida Periswiwattana, Deputy Government Spokesperson, stated that individuals who find it difficult to use the ‘Pao Tang’ application can visit any Krungthai Bank branch for assistance with installation, registration, and G-Wallet setup.

Under the program, participants receive a 60% government subsidy for food, drinks, and specified goods and services, capped at 200 baht per person per day and a total of 1,000 baht per person. The subsidy period runs from October 1 to November 30, 2026. Merchants can confirm their participation via the ‘Thung Ngern’ application through November 30, though no new merchants can be added to the scheme.
