Thai insurance companies launch flood relief and policyholder assistance
Thai insurance companies have launched relief initiatives following widespread flooding across several provinces.
Bangkok Life Assurance has provided essential supplies, including 1,200 bottles of water, ready-to-eat meals, and basic household necessities, to the Bang Sue District Office. These items are intended for distribution to temporary shelters and local communities, including schools and child development centers in the affected areas.
Thai Life Insurance has implemented urgent measures for policyholders in 32 flood-affected provinces. These measures include a 60-day extension on premium payment grace periods for those with due dates between September 20 and December 31, 2026. Additionally, the company is waiving interest on certain automatic premium payments and waiving fees for replacing damaged or lost life insurance policies and ID cards if requested by February 28, 2027.
