Thai lottery enthusiasts seek lucky numbers in Chiang Mai and Phayao

In anticipation of the September 1 lottery draw, residents in Northern Thailand are seeking lucky numbers through various local phenomena and figures.

In Chiang Mai, high demand has been reported for numbers associated with X Factor rising star Nene Royal, specifically her age (16) and birth date (14 March). Other popular numbers include those related to prominent political figures, such as Anutin Charnvirakul and Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, as well as traditional Chinese calendar numbers.

In Phayao, a peculiar banana tree has drawn crowds of lottery enthusiasts. Despite being cut down to a stump, the tree has produced a new shoot and a flower bud from the middle of the stump for the second time. Locals are using the house number (209) and patterns observed on the plant (069) as potential winning numbers.
