Thai MP Sarachart faces new money‑transfer evidence in election fraud case

Parich Vacharsinthu, a list MP for the People’s Party, released LINE chat records that show financial links between MP Sarachart and his aide Phanipa Phasuk. The documents reveal that Sarachart transferred a total of 553,600 baht to Phanipa, who then passed on about 105,000 baht to seven local candidates in Nong Bua Lamphu between June and August 2023.

The new evidence contradicts Sarachart’s earlier statements denying any involvement and his inconsistent interviews about how many of the candidates he personally knew. The revelations are part of a broader investigation into alleged vote‑buying and fraud in Thailand’s recent election.
