Thai Nguyen promotes green tourism at Ba Be Lake

Thai Nguyen province is focusing on developing green tourism and expanding high-quality eco-tourism and community-based resort spaces around Ba Be Lake. Known as a ‘green gem’ in the Northeast, the lake covers nearly 500 hectares and is surrounded by limestone mountains, natural forests, and diverse ecosystems.

Ba Be National Park holds significant environmental status as an ASEAN Heritage Park and is recognized as a RAMSAR site. Beyond its natural landscape, the region preserves the unique cultural identity of the Tay ethnic group, including traditional stilt houses, handicrafts, and folk music. Community tourism models in villages such as Pac Ngoi, Bo Lu, and Coc Toc are being enhanced through improved homestay services to provide local livelihoods and authentic cultural experiences for visitors.
