Thai Nguyen reorganizes public school system to streamline management
Thai Nguyen province is implementing a reorganization of its public school system to streamline management and improve efficiency. This initiative involves merging several public schools into fewer administrative units.
In various localities, such as Quang Son, Song Cong, Bach Quang, and Ba Xuyen, the number of public schools is expected to decrease significantly. For example, Quang Son plans to reduce its schools from seven to four, while Ba Xuyen aims to reduce its 11 schools down to three. To minimize disruption to teaching and learning, existing facilities will continue to operate as main schools, branches, or satellite campuses.
The reorganization primarily impacts school administrators. While teachers and administrative staff are expected to remain largely unaffected, many management officials face changes in their roles. Some vice principals, recognizing the need for effective leadership in larger consolidated schools, have voluntarily requested to return to teaching positions. Officials noted that through effective communication, many administrators have supported the transition for the common good of the educational sector.
