Thai Nguyen Tax Department orders audit of 108 companies over illegal invoices
The Thai Nguyen Tax Department has issued a directive requiring businesses and organizations to review all transactions involving 108 companies identified for using illegal invoices.
Under Official Dispatch 8823/TNG-QLDN1, entities that have conducted business with these 108 companies must provide written explanations and submit all relevant documentation. Required records include sales contracts, VAT invoices, delivery notes, warehouse receipts, transport documents, payment vouchers, and VAT declaration status.
Organizations with no transactions involving the listed companies must submit a formal commitment assuming legal responsibility for that statement. All responses and documentation must be submitted to the Thai Nguyen Tax Department by October 5, 2026. Failure to respond by the deadline will result in the authorities assuming no transactions occurred, though businesses remain legally liable if future inspections reveal discrepancies.
