Vietnam implements reforms in political training and education
Vietnam is implementing various reforms across political training, teacher recruitment, and educational standards. In Lao Cai, the provincial political school has become the first in the country to reach Level 2 standards, utilizing digital transformation and student-centered teaching methods to train over 14,000 cadres. Additionally, Thai Nguyen University is expanding cooperation with Lao Cai province to focus on human resource training, STEM education, and digital transformation, including the proposed establishment of a training and innovation center.
In the education sector, authorities are addressing teacher shortages and recruitment issues. In Dak Lak, officials are responding to concerns regarding contract teachers who have waited over a decade for official recruitment. Nationally, the government is directing reforms in pedagogical training to ensure better alignment between student skills and professional requirements, emphasizing psychological and professional competency assessments.
On a political level, during the 4th Central Committee Conference, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized the need to evaluate officials based on actual performance and ability to handle difficult tasks, rather than mere academic credentials or achievements, to foster long-term national development.
