Thai PM Anutin attends UNGA81 and leads economic roadshow
Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is attending the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81) in New York. His mission includes participating in the General Debate and engaging in high-level discussions with international leaders and multilateral representatives, including a meeting with UN Secretary-General candidate Rebeca Grynspan.
Parallel to the UN summit, the Prime Minister is leading an economic roadshow alongside the Federation of Thai Capital Market Organizations (FETCO) and the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET). The delegation aims to attract foreign investment by highlighting Thailand's economic potential, particularly in digital and AI industries. The roadshow includes meetings with major financial institutions and technology firms, such as Bank of America, PIMCO, and Microsoft.
Officials noted that Thailand's capital market has shown significant growth, with the SET Index outperforming global markets recently. The mission seeks to leverage this momentum to build international trust and secure further investment in the country's real sector and manufacturing industries.
