Thai politicians exchange heated accusations of political inauthenticity

A heated political dispute has erupted between members of the Pheu Thai Party and the People's Party. Korkaew Pikulthong, a Pheu Thai list MP, criticized supporters of the People's Party, labeling them “fake” for accepting legal charges against Thaksin Shinawatra that originated from the 2006 coup regime. He argued that by validating processes stemming from dictatorial powers, these individuals fail to uphold true democratic principles.

In response, Khamphong Thepakham, a former People's Party list MP, countered by accusing the Pheu Thai Party of being the “fake” entity. He cited their decision to break the original government formation MOU to join a conservative-leaning coalition and their involvement in the current “blue regime” administration as evidence of political inconsistency and betrayal of democratic mandates.
