Thai retail firms report mixed Q2 2026 financial results
Major retail players in Thailand reported diverse financial results for the second quarter of 2026.
CP Axtra (CPAXT) reported a net profit of 1,874 million baht, an 18% decrease compared to the same period last year. The decline was attributed to rising energy costs and expenses related to opening new branches, although a 6.9% reduction in financial costs helped mitigate the impact. Total revenue rose 2.5% to 132,284 million baht, driven by a 3.5% growth in wholesale business and a 30.3% increase in online sales via platforms like Makro PRO and Lotus’s Smart App.
In contrast, MR D.I.Y. Holding (Thailand) saw significant growth, with revenue increasing 17.8% to 5,832.1 million baht and net profit rising 19.4% to 757 million baht. The company expanded its footprint by opening 59 new stores, bringing its total to 1,248 branches across 77 provinces. The company also achieved a milestone by being selected for several indices, including SET50 and the MSCI Global Small Cap Index.
