Thai spokesperson accuses opposition of creating new political enemies
Dr. Ekkaphop Phianphiset, spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister, has accused the political opposition of attempting to create a new “political villain” to target the government and the Bhumjaithai Party.
Speaking on TODAY LIVE, Dr. Ekkaphop suggested that after failing to sustain momentum regarding the investigation of “grey capital,” certain political parties are shifting their focus toward a new discourse termed the “Blue Regime.” He argued that this is an attempt to discredit the government and build public dissatisfaction ahead of the next election by linking various issues, including parliamentary politics and allegations surrounding the Senate selection process.
Regarding allegations of collusion in the Senate elections, Dr. Ekkaphop stated that if evidence exists, it should be handled through legal channels. He criticized the premature release of information and names before investigations are complete, suggesting these actions serve political purposes rather than the protection of rights.
