Thai Vietjet Air launches daily Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok flights

Thai Vietjet Air has launched a new daily direct flight service connecting Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. The route, utilizing Boeing 737-8 aircraft, aims to bolster regional connectivity and support the tourism industries of both Malaysia and Thailand.

According to the airline, the decision to enter the Malaysian market was driven by Malaysia’s growing investment and trade sectors, as well as its significant role as a source of tourists for Thailand. The Tourism Authority of Thailand noted that Malaysians represent a major tourism market, with over 3 million visitors recorded between January and October 2026.

The daily flight schedule includes VZ681 departing Kuala Lumpur at 3:15 pm and arriving in Bangkok at 4:30 pm, while the return flight, VZ680, departs Bangkok at 11:00 am and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 2:10 pm. This expansion is part of the airline’s broader strategy to increase fleet capacity and frequency on popular regional routes.
