Thailand and Microsoft partner to enhance AI safety and talent development

Thailand's Ministry of Digital Economy and Society is strengthening cooperation with Microsoft to enhance AI safety measures and human resource development. During a discussion on AI safety held in New York, Minister Chaiychanok Chitchoup emphasized the need for a proactive approach to mitigate risks such as deepfakes, voice cloning, and fraud.

The collaboration focuses on six key areas: promoting AI education and the ‘TH-AI Passport’ initiative, facilitating AI utilization, strengthening cybercrime countermeasures, developing data centers and AI infrastructure, fostering talent, and improving AI capabilities regarding the Thai language and culture. Additionally, the partnership aims to enhance administrative efficiency and transparency through AI integration.
