Thailand Announces 2026 Welfare Card Eligibility Results
On 17 July, Thailand's Committee for State Welfare announced the results of the 2026 State Welfare Card eligibility review. Applicants were divided into two groups: existing cardholders can begin using their benefits from 1 August, while newly qualified individuals must first confirm their identity via the PhetTung app or one of five registration offices before benefits start on 1 October.
Those who were not approved may appeal between 17 July and 31 July. Appeals are processed and a decision will be announced on 21 September, with successful applicants also able to use the card from 1 October. Results can be checked through four main channels – the official website, the “PhetTung” mobile app, the government’s own app, or in person at any of the five designated banking offices (Krung Thai, Bank for Agriculture and Cooperatives, Government Savings Bank, Government Housing Bank, and Islamic Bank of Thailand).
