Chiang Rai border patrol arrests four Chinese nationals for illegal entry

A joint police task force in the Chiang Saen district of Chiang Rai arrested four Chinese nationals for attempting to enter Thailand illegally via the Mekong River. The group, consisting of men aged 24 to 39, was intercepted by officers at Ban Pa Sak Hang Wiang after being spotted emerging from the river.

In addition to the four Chinese nationals, authorities arrested three Thai citizens who were accused of assisting the group by attempting to hide them from law enforcement. The operation was conducted by the Chiang Saen Immigration Office in coordination with local soldiers and tourist police following a tip regarding suspicious activity in the high-risk border area.
