Thailand Cabinet approves Ministry of Commerce leadership reshuffle

The Thai Cabinet has approved a reshuffle of nine high-level executive positions within the Ministry of Commerce to replace retiring officials.

Key appointments include the designation of new directors-general for the Department of Business Development, the Department of International Trade Promotion, the Department of Internal Trade, and the Department of Intellectual Property. Additionally, new appointments have been made for the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and the Thai Ambassador to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva. These changes are scheduled to take effect on October 1, 2026.
