Thailand Defence Minister moves water pumps to Samut Songkhram

Thailand's Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, announced the relocation of 10 water propulsion machines from Nakhon Nayok to Samut Songkhram to mitigate flooding along the Mae Klong River.

The move follows a request from the Samut Songkhram Governor to help push floodwaters out to sea. Currently, the Royal Thai Navy manages approximately 90 such machines distributed across Bangkok, Nakhon Nayok, Chachoengsao, and Samut Prakan.

Lieutenant General Adul stated that the Ministry of Defence will continue to provide personnel and equipment as requested by relevant authorities, such as the Royal Irrigation Department and the Office of National Water Resources, to support flood management and post-flood recovery efforts.
