Thailand exports grow 17.6% in first half of 2026
Thai exports grew by 17.6% in the first half of 2026, reaching a total value of approximately $196.74 billion. This growth marks a continuous increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
The expansion was primarily driven by the technology and electronics sectors. Significant growth was seen in computers and components, which increased by 47.9%, and telecommunications equipment, which saw a 169.0% surge. Other contributing sectors included machinery, agricultural machinery, transformers, and copper products. Additionally, agricultural and food products, such as fresh and frozen fruits, grew by 16.3%, while gems and jewelry increased by 19.8%.
Major export markets included the United States, which remained Thailand's top destination with a 41.1% increase in value, accounting for 24% of total exports. Other key markets showing growth were China (8.1%), Japan (12.9%), India (10.0%), and Singapore (74.0%).
