Thailand flood relief efforts launched by Pheu Thai Party and Krungthai Bank

Various organizations are mobilizing to provide relief to citizens affected by widespread flooding across Thailand.

The Pheu Thai Party has established a coordination center at its headquarters on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road in Bangkok to collect and distribute essential supplies. The party is utilizing a central kitchen to produce cooked meals and has designated four key distribution points in Bangkok: Laksi, Sai Mai, Don Mueang, and Lat Krabang. Party members and MPs are actively participating in packing relief bags containing water and dry food to reach high-risk areas.

Simultaneously, Krungthai Bank has launched a relief initiative covering 13 affected areas, including Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and several provinces in central and eastern Thailand. The bank has distributed 5,500 survival kits, 2,000 meal boxes, and 2,000 bottles of water. To assist with financial recovery, Krungthai Bank is also implementing measures for individual and SME customers, such as interest rate reductions and debt installment relief, to help mitigate the economic impact of the floods.
