Thailand fuel prices to rise by 0.85 baht per liter

The Oil Fuel Fund Management Committee has approved a retail price increase of 0.85 baht per liter for all types of fuel, effective September 15, 2026.

The decision follows prolonged geopolitical tensions and attacks on oil tankers in the Middle East, which have disrupted international negotiations and caused a significant loss in global crude oil production capacity. These factors, combined with refinery bottlenecks, have driven up refining margins and caused Singapore diesel prices to exceed 195 USD per barrel and gasoline to reach approximately 147 USD per barrel.

To maintain long-term price stability and address liquidity issues—as the fund was bearing compensation costs of approximately 770 million baht per day—the committee adjusted subsidies and collections. Diesel prices will see changes, with regular diesel reaching 40.69 baht per liter and B20 reaching 35.69 baht per liter. Gasoline prices will also shift, with gasoline reaching 48.93 baht per liter and various gasohol types seeing adjusted retail prices ranging from 30.88 to 39.94 baht per liter.
