Thailand Hosts Flight Centre Global Gathering, Boosting Bangkok Tourism

From 10‑12 July, Bangkok welcomed more than 2,300 travel professionals for Flight Centre Travel Group’s Global Gathering 2026. The three‑day event brought together high‑performing travel advisors, executives and suppliers from Flight Centre’s international network, showcasing Thailand’s capacity for large‑scale meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand used the gathering to display the country’s diverse tourism offerings—from wellness and adventure travel to cultural experiences such as Muay Thai at Rajadamnern Stadium. Over 500 Flight Centre executives and Thai tourism operators participated in a supplier showcase, highlighting hotels, ecotourism groups and medical services.

The programme also underscored Thailand’s push to attract “bleisure” travellers and digital nomads. The Destination Thailand Visa, aimed at remote professionals, was promoted as part of the country’s strategy to combine work and leisure, encouraging longer stays and greater spending in Bangkok’s business districts.
