Thailand launches Omoda Jaecoo 6T REEV, first four‑wheel range‑extended electric SUV
On 29 June 2026 Omoda and Jaecoo held a TECH DAY event in Thailand to unveil the Jaecoo 6T REEV, the country's first four‑wheel range‑extended electric vehicle. The REEV combines a primary electric motor with a small gasoline engine that acts solely as a generator, allowing pure electric driving up to 190 km (2WD) or 160 km (4WD) and total ranges of up to 800 km (2WD) or 750 km (4WD) under NEDC testing.
The 2WD model delivers 252 hp and 300 Nm of torque, while the 4WD version produces 428 hp and 505 Nm, accelerating from 0‑100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. Power is sent through a smart 4‑wheel drive system that switches automatically between 2WD and 4WD. The vehicle features a 33.6 kWh LFP battery, DC fast‑charging up to 100 kW, AC charging up to 6.6 kW, and V2L capability of 2.3 kW. It is equipped for varied Thai road conditions, with 600 mm wading depth, 55 % gradient capability, and nine driving modes.
Pricing in Thailand starts at 879,900 baht (≈ RM107,000) for the 2WD Max and 979,900 baht (≈ RM119,000) for the 4WD Ultra, both including an eight‑year/200,000 km warranty, lifetime high‑voltage battery coverage, roadside assistance, free insurance for one year, and additional accessories. The launch positions the Jaecoo 6T REEV as a versatile, high‑performance electric option for both city commuting and off‑road travel.
