Thailand locals return lost cash and valuables to foreign tourists

Multiple instances of honesty involving tourists in Thailand have been reported. In Phuket, the owner of OASIS Phuket Airport returned approximately 100,000 baht in euro banknotes to a French guest who had left the money in a wardrobe. The guest, who was unaware the funds were missing, returned to Phuket to collect the cash and provided a 100-baht tip.

In Pattaya, a motorcycle taxi driver named Prasit Srimongkol found a wallet containing 16,000 baht and personal documents in a drainage channel. He immediately turned the items over to the Pattaya City Police Station. The owner, an Indian national named Vinay Kumar, recovered his belongings at the station and rewarded the driver with a 2,000-baht token of appreciation.
