Thailand man suffers severe facial deformity from dental issues

A 31-year-old man in Thailand, identified as Pu, is experiencing severe facial deformity and intense pain due to dental issues. The condition reportedly began with a decayed tooth, which led Pu to frequently use toothpicks to remove trapped food from the area.

This repetitive action is believed to have exacerbated inflammation, resulting in significant swelling on the left side of his face. As the condition worsened, Pu sought help online, but his photos faced skepticism from social media users who claimed the images appeared to be manipulated or generated by artificial intelligence.

Thai plastic surgeon Aon Chatraphon has reviewed the case, noting the severity of the swelling. Medical experts are examining whether the habit of using toothpicks in damaged areas contributed to the development of a potentially serious condition, such as oral cancer or severe infection.
