Thailand Ministry of Higher Education addresses Uthenthawai relocation and PM 2.5 innovation

Yotsanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), has announced updates regarding the relocation of Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok, Uthenthawai Campus. For the remainder of the current semester, students will be permitted temporary access to specific equipment and laboratories at the original site that are unavailable at the new location. This arrangement is strictly limited to essential tools and will be monitored by police for security. A full 100% relocation is scheduled for the next semester, with construction preparations already underway at the designated new site.

In a separate development, the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) received the NRCT Award for its high-value product innovations designed to combat PM 2.5 dust pollution in Northern Thailand. The research focuses on sustainable solutions aligned with Green Economy and ESG principles. Key innovations include biochar for soil improvement, biochar interlocking blocks, DIY PM 2.5 filters, and heat-reflective natural dye fabrics, all aimed at improving air quality and supporting regional sustainable development.
