Thailand Ministry of Social Development pushes housing project in Chiang Mai

Nikorn Somklang, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, visited the Chiang Mai Night Safari area in Hang Dong district to oversee the development of the ‘Baan Keha Phuea Khon Thai’ (Housing for Thais) project.

The National Housing Authority (NHA) plans to utilize over 10 rai of undeveloped land within the existing Chiang Mai Eua Arthorn project. The development will consist of 12 four-story residential buildings, providing a total of 516 units. Each unit will be approximately 32 square meters with a one-bedroom layout.

The initiative aims to provide affordable, high-quality housing for low-to-middle-income citizens. The project will incorporate Universal Design principles to accommodate all groups and focus on environmentally friendly community development to improve the overall quality of life for residents.
