Thailand positions itself as a global bridge for cooperation

On the 81st anniversary of the United Nations, Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul emphasized Thailand's commitment to international law and the peaceful resolution of conflicts. In a speech broadcast via the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the UN Charter in maintaining peace and preventing large-scale warfare.

He noted that while global challenges such as geopolitical tensions, climate change, and advancements in artificial intelligence test the strength of the world order, international rules remain essential for coexistence. Thailand aims to act as a “bridge” for global cooperation, supporting human rights, environmental protection, and sustainable development.

As a concrete example of this commitment to international engagement, the Prime Minister referenced Thailand's role in hosting the 2026 IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings in Bangkok.
