Thailand positions itself as a hub for AI and robotics conferences

InfoComm Asia 2026 was held at Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Center from July 15‑17, drawing 6,638 professional attendees from 77 countries and representing about 3,800 organisations. AI was the dominant theme, with exhibitors showcasing AI‑enabled collaboration platforms, digital signage, immersive technologies and workplace automation. The event generated roughly 700 scheduled business meetings and featured more than 20 product launches from companies such as Audio‑Technica, Bose Professional, Shure and Yamaha. Organisers announced that the exhibition will move to Kuala Lumpur in 2027.

Separately, Thailand secured the right to host the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) in 2030. The conference will take place at the same Bangkok venue and is expected to attract around 10,000 delegates, including 8,000 international participants. Thai officials highlighted the bid as a milestone that underscores the country’s strategy to attract high‑value technology events and bolster its manufacturing and innovation ecosystem.
