Thailand prepares for no-confidence debate in December

Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has indicated that a no-confidence debate is unlikely to occur in November due to a heavy schedule of international summits and diplomatic missions. Key commitments include the ASEAN Summit, APEC, and meetings regarding the OECD, as well as hosting the Chinese Prime Minister.

Government officials suggest the debate could take place as early as the beginning of December. The Ministry of Interior has already prepared 82 key points in anticipation of the scrutiny.

House Speaker Sophon Saram, meanwhile, confirmed that a debate will definitely occur. He noted that the opposition and the government have reached a tentative agreement on a '4+1 day' framework. While the opposition expressed readiness to proceed within the next one to two weeks, the final schedule remains subject to the Cabinet's availability and the House Speaker's decision.
