Thailand Prime Minister approves principle for Thai Chuay Thai Plus Phase 2

The Thai Prime Minister has given preliminary approval for the second phase of the ‘Thai Chuay Thai Plus’ economic stimulus project. Pharadon Prisnananthakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, stated that the Ministry of Finance is currently assessing the situation to determine the necessity and duration of the project extension as the first phase nears its end in late September.

Regarding funding, Pharadon noted that approximately 40 to 50 billion baht remains from the initial 200 billion baht emergency loan decree. He emphasized that the government has multiple funding sources available, including the regular budget and a 400 billion baht loan decree, ensuring sufficient liquidity to support the program if deemed necessary by the Ministry of Finance.
