Thailand reports various criminal incidents including jade scams and domestic violence

Several distinct criminal and social incidents have been reported in Thailand. In Bangkok, a group of victims filed a complaint with the Central Investigation Bureau against a Chinese national, Zhao Xin, and his accomplices. The group alleges a jade sales scam conducted via livestreams, resulting in losses exceeding 2 million baht for at least 48 people.

In Ayutthaya, a 28-year-old woman admitted to police that she fabricated a report of abduction and attempted sexual assault. She stated she staged the incident to test the attention and concern of her family and boyfriend due to personal family issues.

In Kanchanaburi, a woman is seeking police protection after surviving an acid attack orchestrated by her husband. The assault occurred inside a moving vehicle after the victim attempted to end their ten-year relationship. Additionally, in the Saimai area of Bangkok, an 18-year-old man has come forward alleging a decade of physical abuse by his stepmother, a situation brought to light after his employer noticed his injuries.
