Thailand sentences woman to death for cyanide poisoning murder
Thailand’s Criminal Court in Bangkok has sentenced Sararat Rangsiwuthaporn, widely known as “Am Cyanide,” to death for the murder of Darinee “Fah” Thepwi. This verdict marks the seventh judgment out of 15 criminal cases brought against her.
Prosecutors alleged that Sararat poisoned the victim by mixing potassium cyanide into consumable products to avoid repaying a debt of approximately 60,000 baht. Medical evidence from Siriraj Hospital confirmed that the victim suffered total organ failure following exposure to the substance.
Despite the ruling, Sararat has maintained her innocence throughout the proceedings.
