A newborn boy survived after being abandoned in a tied plastic bag in the Khlong Luang district of Pathum Thani province, Thailand. A stray dog is credited with saving the infant by tearing a hole in the bag, which allowed the child to breathe.

On the evening of August 24, food delivery driver Ratchanok Kulbut discovered the baby while traveling along an unlit road. After the driver alerted local residents, the infant was cleaned and emergency services were called. Paramedics treated the hypothermic newborn and transported him to a hospital for medical care.

Local police have launched an investigation to identify the parents and determine the circumstances surrounding the abandonment. The location where the child was found is reportedly a known site for illegal waste disposal.
