Thailand traffic accidents result in three fatalities

Two separate fatal traffic accidents occurred in Thailand on October 2, 2026, resulting in three deaths.

In Udon Thani, a man aged between 35 and 40 died after his motorcycle collided with a Nissan Almera. CCTV footage revealed the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and ran a red light at the Kamnan intersection, striking the vehicle which had a green light. The driver of the car remained at the scene.

In Kalasin, a collision between a pickup truck and a Honda MSX motorcycle near a Shell station resulted in two deaths. The victims, identified as Somchok and Somjit, both aged 53, were killed instantly. Witnesses reported that the motorcycle was attempting to merge into the lane when the fast-moving truck struck it. The area is noted as a community zone with nearby schools.
