Thailand wins gold in sailing and boxing at Asian Games

Thai athletes secured significant victories at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games. Sophia Gleel Montgomery won the gold medal in the ILCA6 sailing category, finishing with a total of 26 penalty points after nine qualifying races and two final races. The silver medal went to Singapore, while India took bronze.

In boxing, 21-year-old Nattnicha Jongprongklang claimed the gold medal in the women's 54kg division. She defeated North Korea's Pang Chol Mi with a 4-1 decision after a competitive three-round match. This victory marks the 15th gold medal for the Thai delegation at the games.
