Thailand's Ambassador visits Oradea to discuss investment and academia

Phuchphop Mongkolnavin, the Ambassador of Thailand to Romania, conducted a visit to Oradea to explore cooperation in investment, tourism, and academic exchange. During meetings with local administration and the Bihor County Council, discussions focused on the region's economic development, infrastructure, and the role of foreign labor, noting the presence of workers from Nepal, the Philippines, Bangladesh, and India.

The Ambassador also visited the University of Oradea, marking his first visit to a Romanian academic institution. He expressed interest in strengthening ties in fields such as the arts, biomedical sciences, engineering, and technology. The University of Oradea currently maintains partnerships with four Thai universities, and the Ambassador suggested expanding these exchanges to include political science and international relations.
