Thales and Qualys launch new data and cloud security management tools
Cybersecurity firms Thales and Qualys have announced new solutions aimed at improving data and cloud security posture management.
Thales has introduced CipherTrust Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), a platform designed to address the risks posed by the rapid distribution of sensitive data across cloud, SaaS, and AI-driven workflows. The tool aims to go beyond simple data discovery by providing native remediation through encryption, masking, or tokenization directly within the platform to protect sensitive information.
Qualys has launched Real-Time Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), integrated into its Enterprise TruRisk Platform. This capability is designed to provide continuous monitoring of multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Unlike traditional tools that rely on periodic scans, this solution seeks to detect configuration changes and vulnerabilities instantly to reduce the window of exposure and mitigate alert fatigue.
