Thalia Matika discusses traumatic childbirth and motherhood

Greek actress Thalia Matika shared personal details regarding her experiences with motherhood and family life during an appearance on the show ‘Super Katerina’ with host Katerina Kainourgiou.

Matika described her first childbirth as a traumatic and difficult 18.5-hour experience, noting that her gynecologist, Lambros Giannikos, had to assist in the delivery using spoons. She characterized the physical sensation during the process as feeling ‘as if you are being torn in two.’

Additionally, the actress discussed her two unplanned pregnancies, noting that while she always desired a daughter, she has developed a unique and special bond with her son. She also touched upon her relationship with her husband, Tasos Iordanidis, and the financial challenges they have faced.
