Thames Water completes emergency repairs at Farnham roundabout

Thames Water has completed emergency repairs at the Shepherd and Flock roundabout in Farnham, following weeks of significant traffic disruption. The work was initiated after a burst was identified on a rising main sewer on August 26.

Motorists have faced lengthy delays and congestion on key routes, including the A31 bypass and Guildford Road, with some residents reporting journey increases of up to 30 minutes. The disruption was compounded by other ongoing local infrastructure projects.

Thames Water stated that traffic management is expected to be removed later this week, potentially on Friday, provided it is safe to do so. The completion follows earlier delays caused by high groundwater levels that had made the repair process challenging.
