Thane police arrest actress for operating prostitution racket

The Thane Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) arrested a Bhojpuri and Hindi film actress for allegedly operating a high-profile prostitution racket in Wagle Estate. The arrest took place on September 26 in the Padwal Nagar area following a sting operation involving a decoy customer.

Police reported that the accused, who has appeared in over 15 web series and multiple films, was attempting to lure two women into sex work using financial incentives. Both women were rescued during the raid and have been placed in a protective shelter.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the Srinagar Police Station under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. Investigations are ongoing to determine if there are wider networks involved in the operation.
