Thang Long Theater’s ‘Hanoi Day’ show launches to boost city tourism

The Thang Long Theater in Hanoi opened its new weekly program “Chuyện Hà Nội – Một ngày rất Hà Nội” on 30 July 2026, with performances every Friday at 20:00. The show is designed as a cultural product for tourism, aiming to diversify visitor experiences, stimulate night‑time economy and develop a distinct cultural ecosystem for the capital.

Directed by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports and staged by music director Trí Minh, the performance blends traditional Vietnamese instruments such as the đàn bầu, đàn tranh, sáo trúc and trống hội with modern stage technology, visual effects and audience interaction. Attendees also sample Hanoi’s culinary heritage, including tea and traditional pastries, in a setting near the historic Hoàn Kiếm Lake, positioning the show as a night‑time cultural destination for domestic and international tourists.
