The club stated that the move is necessary due to significant financial difficulties in securing sponsorship to maintain professional operations.

The club has committed to managing and publicly disclosing all contributions to ensure funds are used specifically for the team's development. This appeal follows reports from the Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism regarding the club's unstable funding and inadequate infrastructure. Notably, the lighting system at the Thanh Hoa provincial stadium currently fails to meet professional football standards or Asian Football Confederation (AFC) licensing requirements.

Local authorities, including Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung, have previously discussed the club's financial situation. While the team has maintained professional operations through community and business support, officials have emphasized the need for a more sustainable long-term development model.
