Vietnam reports multiple fatal traffic and tree-felling accidents

Multiple fatal and serious traffic accidents have been reported across various provinces in Vietnam.

In Thanh Hoa, a 67-year-old man died after a large mahogany tree, being felled by a hired worker, fell onto the road and struck him. Authorities are investigating the worker, Nguyen Quang Tho, for potential negligence. The tree was a dead tree on private property, and officials noted a lack of warning signs at the site.

In Phu Tho, a collision between a tractor-trailer and a 16-seat passenger bus on National Highway 6 resulted in two deaths and one injury. Preliminary investigations suggest the trailer driver failed to control speed and drifted into the wrong lane.

In Dong Nai, a 38-year-old man died when a eucalyptus tree fell on him while he was assisting with garden clearing.

Additionally, in Lam Dong, a sleeper bus crashed into a median strip on National Highway 1 due to heavy rain and slippery conditions. The accident left eight people injured, with one passenger requiring transfer to Ho Chi Minh City for intensive treatment.
