Thanh Hoa police arrest ring of construction site thieves

Thanh Hoa Provincial Police have arrested four individuals for a series of thefts targeting suspended construction projects across multiple provinces and cities. The group specialized in stealing electrical cables and equipment.

At the International Nurse and Caregiver Vocational Training Center project in Thanh Hoa, the suspects stole assets valued at over 352 million VND and caused approximately 12 million VND in damage to the transformer system. The ringleader, Le Hai Ninh (born 2004), reportedly used Google Maps to identify target sites.

Investigators faced challenges due to the remote locations of the sites, lack of surveillance cameras, and heavy rain that obscured evidence at the crime scenes. The arrested individuals include Le Hai Ninh, Le Van Lam, Nguyen Truong Chinh, and Ho Thi Kim Dung. All suspects have confessed to their crimes.
