Thanh Hóa police investigate social media herbal medicine scam

Thanh Hóa provincial police are investigating a potential consumer deception case involving Nguyễn Hữu Nghĩa, the owner of the Tuệ Minh Đường Club in Sầm Sơn. Nghĩa, 76, operated social media accounts on TikTok and Facebook under the name “Bố Đời U80,” which garnered hundreds of thousands of followers.

Authorities state that despite lacking professional training, medical degrees, or a practice license in traditional medicine, Nghĩa used his online presence to provide medical advice, guide treatments, and sell products marketed as traditional herbal medicine for illicit profit.

Police are calling for any individuals who were consulted by, or purchased products from Nghĩa or the Tuệ Minh Đường Club, to come forward and provide information to assist the investigation. Victims are requested to contact investigator Trịnh Huy Anh by September 20, 2026.
