Thanh Hoa preschool teachers suspended after hitting 3-year-old student

Two teachers at the Loc Tan branch of Hau Loc Preschool in Thanh Hoa province have been suspended for one week following a video circulating on social media that shows them striking a 3-year-old girl during an art activity.

The incident occurred on October 16 during a lesson where students were making cards for Mother's Day. One teacher reported that the child was being hyperactive and not following instructions, leading to a loss of emotional control. The teacher involved expressed regret, citing the pressures of the preschool environment as a factor in the outburst.

School leadership has reported the matter to the Department of Education and Training. While the child is reported to be in stable physical and psychological condition with no visible injuries, the school stated it will strictly follow regulations to discipline the staff once the official investigation is complete. The two teachers have been replaced in the classroom during their suspension.
