Thanh Hoa province enhances agricultural and environmental management

Thanh Hoa province is implementing measures to improve the efficiency of its agricultural, forestry, and fishery sectors. On November 5, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Cong Su inspected the Center for Agricultural, Forestry, and Fishery Development to review its research, testing, and seed supply activities.

The Center has focused on forest protection, fire prevention, and the application of scientific progress in breeding crops, livestock, and aquatic species. Recent achievements include the production of 1,100 pigs and 72,200 doses of boar semen, as well as the conservation of Lac Thuy chicken genetic resources. The Center is also managing various services related to genetic resource preservation and the testing of new rice varieties.

In a separate initiative, the Thanh Hoa Department of Agriculture and Rural Development organized professional training sessions for provincial and commune-level officials. These sessions, conducted both in person and online, covered land management, environmental protection, forestry, irrigation, and livestock. The training aimed to resolve practical difficulties in implementing state management regulations and supporting rural development programs.
