Thapelo Maseko joins FC Copenhagen on four-year deal

South African international winger Thapelo Maseko has signed a four-year contract with Danish club FC Copenhagen, committing his future to the team until 2030. Maseko joins the club following his departure from Mamelodi Sundowns and a recent loan spell at Cypriot side AEL Limassol.

Head coach Bo Svensson described Maseko as an explosive and dynamic player with exceptional qualities in one-on-one situations. Maseko expressed pride in the agreement, stating that joining the internationally recognized club is a “dream come true.”

Maseko follows in the footsteps of other South African players associated with FC Copenhagen, such as Sibusiso Zuma. He arrives as the club prepares for a UEFA Conference League playoff tie against Finland’s Inter Turku scheduled for late August.
